The well-known translator Xue Fan passed away on September 2 at the Ninth People’s Hospital Affiliated with Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine at the age of 88, according to the information provided by the Shanghai Translators Association to the reporter by the Shanghai Translators Association. In 2005, the China Translators Association bestowed upon Xue Fan the honorary title of Senior Translator; in 2022, the China Translators Association bestowed upon him the “Translation Culture Lifetime Achievement Award.”

The majority of Adia’s retirement was spent entertaining his grandchildren by showing off his abilities at mahjong, teaching them how to prepare dumplings “his way,” and driving them to various sporting events around the Murrysville area.
