Bickford Obituary, Fowler, NY: Wilson Robert Bickford, 62 years old, a resident of Fowler, New York, passed away on Saturday, December 18, 2021, at the Claxton Hepburn Medical Center in the company of his wife and daughter. He is the son of Robert “Ivan” Bickford and Madeleine (Wilson) Bickford. After completing his high school education at Gouverneur in 1977, he went on to obtain a position at Massey’s Furniture Barn. On August 12, 1978, he wed the girl he had a crush on throughout high school, Glenda Fuller. It was around this time that he started working for the Gouverneur Talc Company, where he would remain employed until the year 2002. Full Obituary

Patricia (Kane) Bickford Obituary, South Hadley, MA: Patricia (Kane) Bickford passed away on March 21st, 2019, at the age of 85, at Encompass in Ludlow. She was the daughter of the late Martin J. Kane and Edith (Mosher) Kane, and she was born in Holyoke. She and her husband, Birnie, made their home in Sunapee, New Hampshire, where they ran their business, Bickford’s on the Harbor. After some time, Pat relocated to Florida, where he began volunteering for Hospice and eventually ran a small retail shop for the organization. Her capacity to foresee potential developments led to the expansion of a single modest store into several locations, which resulted in extraordinary donations being made to the Gerstenberg Hospice Center. She was recruited to work as a Guardian at Leitem for the West Palm Beach location. Lee Wadsworth Bickford Obituary, Niagara Falls: After a protracted battle with illness, on September 10, 2016, Lee Wadsworth Bickford, age 98, who was formerly of Niagara Falls, passed away at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence in Lewiston. He was there for the duration of his final days. Lee Bickford was the son of the late Evelyn (Carrigan) and Frank Bickford and graduated from Wilson High School in 1937. Lee was born in Wilson, New York on August 31, 1918, and he passed away in 1997. When he was working as a soda fountain jerk for his uncle, the owner of Carrigan’s Dairy, he met Lucille Jane Buck. They began dating on October 31, 1940 and were married on October 31, 1940. They were married for a total of 40 years before she passed away in June of 1980. During World War II, he served in the Army and spent the majority of his time working at Muroc Army Air Base. There, he was assigned to a top-secret testing facility near Muroc Dry Lake and worked on the XP-59A, which was the first aircraft in the United States to use a jet propulsion system. He was also tasked with the responsibility of restoring the aircraft to its initial configuration and removing the additional passenger seat for observation in order to prepare it for transport to the Smithsonian Institution, where it is currently on display.
