Mr. Bout served in the United States Army during World War II and was awarded medals for his service, including the American Theater Medal, Asiatic Pacific Theater Medal with two bronze stars, and Philippine Liberation Medal with two bronze stars, Good Conduct Medal, Victory Medal, and Bronze Arrowhead. Over the course of more than 30 years, John served as a supervisor at Tri-State Engineering Inc. His affiliation was with the Grove United Presbyterian Church, which is located in West Middletown.
