On Thursday, December 9, 2021, Anthony “Tony” Wayne Pemberton, age 48, of Kitts Hill, Ohio, went to be with the Lord after his battle with cancer. On January 23, 1973, he was welcomed into the world by his parents, Gerald Pemberton of Coal Grove, Ohio and Rosalie (Rice) Pemberton of Kitts Hill, Ohio, both of whom are still alive. Tony received his diploma from Coal Grove High School and went on to work in the construction industry. He was happiest when he was out in the wilderness hunting, fishing, or doing anything else. Tony’s grandsons were his absolute favorite, and he was always making things for them to play with and enjoy.
He adhered to the beliefs of the Baptists. His maternal grandparents, Thomas and Fern Rice, and his paternal grandmother, Jean Douglas, as well as his cousins Tina and Lori McKenzie and his particular buddy, Joe Hudson, all passed away before him. Those who are left to celebrate his life are his four children: Anthony Pemberton of Kitts Hill, Ohio, Cheyann (Jason Taylor) Pemberton of Ashland, Kentucky, Glenn Pemberton of Pippa Passes, Kentucky, and Vincent (Kyleigh) Pemberton of Lexington, Kentucky; a sister: Angela Pemberton of Ironton, Ohio; grandchildren: Charles Yates and Jason Taylor III both of Ashland, Kentucky.
