1. Tom Banks Death, of Weaverville – Obituary

On Thursday, September 1, 2022, Tom Banks, Sr., age 78, who resided in Weaverville, went to be with the Lord after passing away. On January 2, 1944, Mr. Banks was born in Buncombe County, which is also where he spent the majority of his life. Since 1979, he ran Tom’s Auto Body Shop in Weaverville, where he also served as the shop’s proprietor. He enjoyed being around other people and cherished the time he got to spend with his family and friends.

He was the son of Walter Howard Banks and Nancy Ellen Daniel Banks, both of whom have passed away. The deaths of his brothers Euhl and Walter Jr., as well as his parents, came before his own. Paula Banks, his wife; sons Thomas C. Banks, Jr. and wife Sandra, Phil Banks and wife Kim, Patrick Banks and Richard Banks; sisters Sally Harron, Henrietta Haney, Lucy Ledbetter, and Freda Lynch; step-children Brian Maney and wife Charli and Crystal Buckner and husband James; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren;  Source

2. Thomas A. Banks Death – Obituary

Thomas A. Banks Jr., age 75 died peacefully on Feb. 27th after a short illness while surrounded by his family. Tom grew up in Quincy and was a graduate of Quincy High School, Class of 1963. He served in the National Guard from 1965 to 1970. Tom and Elizabeth were married in May of 1966. They settled in Whitman before moving to Bridgewater 35 years ago. Tom worked for many years as a manager for Johnson & Johnson, retiring at age 50. Tom and Liz loved traveling and being with their family.

Tom had a great sense of humor and was always trying to put a smile on your face. He was an enthusiastic golfer who traveled to Myrtle Beach twice a year with his best friend Bob or being with his friends at the Polish or Vets Club. He enjoyed cards, a cold beer, hunting, singing and dancing to James Brown songs. Tom was a longtime member of the Raynham Athletic Club and was proud of having the same workout instructor for 30 years.
