The death of Thomas J. Pfaff, Sr. took place on September 21st, 2022. He was the devoted husband of Patricia R. Pfaff (nee Pistorio), the doting father of Thomas Jr. and Keith (Megan), and the cherished pop-pop of Gabrielle, Grant, Claudia, Grace, Mary, Alex, and Maddie; the dear brother of Richard and Robert; the step-brother of Debbie Rice; the loving step-son of Katherine Lyons; the brother-in-law of Toni Mingioni (Joe); the nephew of Joyce His parents, William Sr. and Rita Pfaff, as well as his brother, William Jr., had passed away before he was born. He is also survived by a large number of nieces, nephews, relatives, and acquaintances who were very close to him.
Visitation will be held at the Schimunek Funeral Home of Bel Air Inc., located at 610 W. MacPhail Rd. in Bel Air, Maryland 21014, on Saturday, September 24, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, as well as on Sunday, September 25, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. At St. Mary Magdalen Mission on Monday, September 26th, 2022, at 10:00 AM, there will be a Funeral Mass held in the deceased’s honor. After that, the burial will take place in Bel Air Memorial Gardens. On June 10, 2022, Thomas Martin Pfaff passed away without any discomfort. He spent his childhood on the lakes of Waterford, where he was an avid sailor and skier and where he also first became acquainted with the woman who would become his high school girlfriend, Dawn (Turner) Pfaff. Over the course of his more than 30-year career with Ford Motor Company, he worked in a variety of roles across the company, including accounting, finance, marketing, and sales.
He was a significant contributor to the launch of several programs, many of which are still in use today. He delighted in preparing delicious meals for his loved ones, most especially his world-famous enchiladas, taking a restful nap in a comfortable chair, and having a golden retriever by his side. He held a building contractor’s license and found great satisfaction in working with his hands on construction projects of all sizes.
