The Allen County Coroner announced in a release on Tuesday that a woman who was hurt in a collision with a semi-truck on US 30 on Friday morning has passed away. Tammy Berger, 48, of Shelby, Michigan was riding in the front seat of a pickup truck when it was struck by a semi-truck at the intersection of US 30 and Franke Road. Berger was taken to the hospital along with one other person who was involved.  According to the release, Berger later passed away as a result of her wounds.  Source

On Sunday, July 19, 2009, Tammy Berger Allen, 65, passed away in San Antonio. She was born on July 23, 1943, to Col. and Mrs. R. M. Berger in Perry, Oklahoma. Tammy worked a lot in gift and antique shops. She never encountered a stranger, and her countless friends and clients will sincerely miss her.Her parents passed away before her. She is survived by her husband, D. A. Allen; her five sons; and Laddy Brown.
