On Monday evening, the police department in Woonsocket said that two poorly decomposed remains were found in the residence of the former mayor of Woonsocket, Susan Menard. The identity of the people who have passed away has not been made public by the police; nonetheless, it is thought that they were elderly men and elderly women. 2. Susan A. Menard Death, of Oxford – Obituary
On Saturday, December 19, 2020, at the age of 66, Susan A. Menard of Oxford, who was surrounded by her devoted family at the time of her passing, passed away peacefully at her home. Susan Ashcraft was the daughter of Miner Gilbert Ashcraft and Anna Jennie (Eggleston) Ashcraft. She was born in Norwich on July 2, 1954. She spent her childhood in both Sherburne and Norwich, and she received her high school diploma from Norwich High School in 1972. Immediately following her high school graduation, Susan enrolled in the nursing program at Broome Community College. She held the position of nurse for a number of years.
After that, Susan worked at WT Grant’s Department Store for a while, and then she moved on to A&P Grocery Store. In addition to her job at A&P, she was employed as a sign language interpreter in the schools in the surrounding area. At some point in time, Susan became an interpreter for the deaf working for DCMO BOCES. Most of her time was spent working in schools located in Norwich and Oxford. When Susan was working as a nurse, she once took care of a patient named Keith J. Menard, who would later go on to become her husband and is still alive today.
