Shooting At Hollywood Farmers Market Today – At approximately 7:30 in the morning, the Los Angeles Police Department received reports of a guy in the 1600 block of Cosmo Street who was armed with a handgun and had fired “several rounds.”
At approximately 9:20 in the morning, officials from the Los Angeles Police Department reported that an active standoff was now taking place with an unidentified subject who was throwing rocks from a balcony. After further investigation, it was determined that a SWAT squad from the LAPD was dispatched to the location.
An LAPD representative informed ABC7 that many callers reported that a gunman opened fire from the window of a building just before 8 a.m. in the 1600 block of Cosmo Street, which is located between Hollywood Boulevard and Selma Avenue.
At this time, there have been no people taken into custody. Authorities have stated that officers from the Los Angeles Police Department were involved in a standoff with a suspect early on Sunday morning after the officers reacted to unsubstantiated reports of a shooting at the Hollywood Farmers Market.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, upon the officers’ arrival at the area, they witnessed a person hurling rocks from a balcony. This information was provided by the Los Angeles Police Department. There then became a stalemate.
According to the authorities, there were no victims of gunshot wounds found at the location. On the spot, there were no reports of any injuries.
