2. Cyrus Mistry Obituary – Death
Although Cyrus Mistry is an engineer by trade, few people would have predicted that he would become known for one of the ugliest feuds in the history of Indian corporations, which would shake the foundations of one of India’s most respected conglomerates, Tata Sons. Mistry is notoriously shy around the media. Mistry was the younger son of Pallonji Mistry, the household patriarch, and was born into a prosperous industrial household in south Mumbai. Mistry received his education at the prestigious Cathedral and John Connon School in Mumbai, which was established in 1855, five years before his family’s business, in 1860. He then went on to study civil engineering and management in London before taking over as CEO of Shapoorji Pallonji & Co. in 1991. The construction company, which is one of the largest in India, had previously finished delivering high-profile buildings such as the Reserve Bank of India.
