Harrison (Joan) of Manchester/Punta Gorda, his “little bro” Roger Harrison (Christine) of Holland, MA and his stepbrother Wade Bedell (Michelle) of Glastonbury. He held the position of Assistant Store Manager for Garafalo Markets’ Shoprite of Cromwell location during his time there. In addition to that, he was employed by Big Y, ShopRite of Enfield (Miller Farms), ShopRite of Manchester (Waverly Markets), and ShopRite in both locations. He oversaw a wide variety of departments and served as a guide for a lot of people. Over the course of many years, Scott and Bill W. shared a friendship. His later years were spent giving back to the community through volunteer work and providing guidance to younger generations. Over the course of many years, Scott was also very active in the Unity of Greater Hartford church in which he was a member. Scott was a devoted follower of the New York Mets baseball team. He was an avid fan of Mopar automobiles and the NASCAR racing circuit. It was his favorite thing to do, along with going to the beach and watching the shows “Criminal Minds” and “Homicide Hunter.” Coffee from 7-Eleven, munchies, and a good nap were some of his favorite things to do in his spare time. So many people are going to miss having him around. On Friday, August 19, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., friends and family of the family are invited to visit with them at the Holmes-Watkins Funeral Home, located at 400 Main Street in Manchester. There will be a gathering to honor Scott’s life beginning at seven o’clock tonight. Full Obituary
Scott Harrison Obituary: Heather Harrison, Scott’s stunning wife of 14 years, was blessed with a doting husband in the form of Scott. While they were training for a half marathon, he proposed to her on the Brooklyn Bridge. This marked the beginning of their adventure in New York, which eventually led them to settle in Forest Hills. He was a devoted father to his daughter, Harper, who was 12 years old. He would lovingly drive her to her gymnastics class, assist her with her homework and school projects, and make art with her. He was always ready with a dad joke to make her laugh (or cringe), and he would always check in with her to see how her day was going. Harper and Heather cherished their time spent with their father and husband beyond anything they could have possibly imagined. Most importantly, Scott was a caring and attentive parent. Scott was a Licensed Architect who also worked for the City of New York as a Project Manager. In this role, he was responsible for overseeing the restoration of historic landmarks and buildings. He took great pleasure in designing, drawing, building elaborate gingerbread houses, preparing homemade pizza for Heather and Harper, working on do-it-yourself projects, going on historical tours, and cultivating elegant bonsai landscapes. Georgia, the family dog, was another one of Scott’s favorite things. She filled their home with an indescribable amount of happiness and light. As a unique and introspective observer, Scott was able to find joy and beauty in the mundane everyday occurrences and specifics that most people overlook. He was the child of Irene Harrison and Robert Edward Harrison, and he was born in Brooklyn, New York. Scott spent his childhood on Staten Island, where he also completed his high schooling at Monsignor Farrell and his undergraduate studies at Lehigh University. Full Obituary
Scott Arthur Harrison Obituary: Our dearly loved son, Scott, fought a brave battle against cancer for many years before passing away in the early morning hours of July 27, 2022. He did so in peace. The grandparents on his father’s side, the grandfather on his mother’s side, and his uncle John all passed away before him. Grandma (Baba) Mary Woloshyn; aunt Donna Woloshyn (Roxanna); Uncle Tom Woloshyn and his families in Victoria, British Columbia; and John’s children Nor-Jean and Clayton Klyne are among the people who will miss Scott the most. His parents, Glenn and Theresa, also survive him, as do his brother Cory and his wife Maureen, as well as their sons Ryker and Logan. Additionally, Scott is leaving behind extended family members in the provinces of Saskatchewan and Ontario. The city of Regina is where Scott received all of his education. Retail sales, Mr. Tool, and RV Tech were among his previous places of employment. The outdoors were some of Scott’s favorite things to do, and he was a voracious reader and watcher of documentaries. He had been a resident of Moose Jaw for the past 17 years at the time of his passing, and he is survived by his close friends Russ and Jay, who are also from Moose Jaw. We will always remember and cherish the time we had with you, Scott; you are deeply loved by all of us. At Scott’s insistence, there will be no food or drink service today. Memory That Lasts Forever Donations can be made to the Moose Jaw Food Bank in memory of the deceased by family and friends who so desire. Full Obituary
