1. Sally Forch Obituary, Victims of highway 20 crash identified – Death

The victims of a collision involving two vehicles that took place on Highway 20 east of Sioux City on Tuesday afternoon have been identified by the Woodbury county sheriff. The incident took place on Highway 20. The collision took place approximately 30 kilometers (about 20 miles) east of Sioux City. The sheriff has identified Gerald and Sally Forch, both residents of Kingsley, Iowa, as the two people that were killed in the incident. Those who have a previous residence in Oto.

Their vehicle was moving in the other direction of traffic when it turned onto highway 20 from Lee Avenue, whereupon it collided with another vehicle that was moving in the same direction but in the opposite direction, which was westbound. Gerald Forch, who was also involved in the accident and suffered significant injuries, was life-flighted there and ultimately died as a result of those injuries. Sally Lynne Bird, age 55, of 162 East Road, was identified as the suspect. Adams, MA. She was born in North Adams, Massachusetts, on June 21, 1958, and was the daughter of Betty (Francis) Belding and the late Holice F. Belding. She passed away suddenly on Friday, January 3, 2014, at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. She received her education in North Adams, Massachusetts, where she attended Drury High School and graduated with the class of 1976. Additionally, Sally received her education at Williams College and the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts.

At the time of her passing, she was working at Williams College as the Administrative Coordinator of Faculty Affairs in the Dean of Faculty’s Office. In addition, Sally was the former owner of the Sally Belding School of Dance in North Adams and served as a dance instructor there for a number of years. Additionally, Sally and her husband were the co-owners of the Subway franchises located in Adams, North Adams, and Williamstown. She had been attending All Saints Episcopal Church in North Adams for a significant amount of time.
