It is with great sadness that we announce that Ruth Anne Azevedo passed away on September 5, 2022 as a result of a side-by-side accident in northern Minnesota. Ruth Anne, her mother Ms. Linda Touton, and her father “Captain Charlie” Touton lead Montessori School of Fort Myers from the mid 1980’s until 2013 when Ruth Anne passed on the school to the Farwell family. Four generations of her family taught and learned at our school. I spent several months working with Ruth Anne as we transitioned leadership in2013. She taught me everything she could about our school – the facility needs, documentation, the software we use, the various regulators that we interact with, and more.  Source

Collins, Ruth Anne the (Nee Olson) At the age of 75, Ruth passed away on February 8, 2013, and was welcomed into eternal life. Jack, Ruth’s husband of 52 years, and their young son died before her. Ruth was the survivor of the three. Barbara (Scott) Redzinski, Laurie (Tracy) Wachowiak, and Christine Willms were lucky to have Ruth as their mother since she was kind and compassionate. She was a loving grandmother, and her grandchildren, Joshua and Joseph Redzinski, Erica and Kaley Wachowiak, and Nolan Willms, affectionately referred to her as “G-Money.” Survived by her brother Jim and sister-in-law Jane, both of whom will miss her terribly. She is also survived by our adoptive family, which includes Peggy (Gus) Napert, Mandie (Brian), and Allison Jorgensen,

in addition to a large number of nieces, nephews, family members, and friends. Her parents Clarence and Mamie, her brother Clarence Jr., her sister Pearl, her brother-in-law Chester, and her sister-n-law Lydia all passed away before Ruth. Portland, Wisconsin, was both Ruth’s birthplace and her childhood home. Ruth cherished the time she could spend with her loved ones. She attended the Jackson Park Lutheran Church as regularly as she could. In addition to having a firm belief in God, she was an avid reader, enjoyed watching Milwaukee Brewers games, and was very proud of her Norwegian ancestry.
