1. Robert Stacey Jr. Obituary, of Hurlock – Death

According to the Easton Police Department, a man from Hurlock was taken from this world on Sunday, September 4, after he was involved in a motorcycle accident on U.S. Route 50. On Sunday afternoon, just before 4:30 p.m., officers were called to the scene of a significant accident that had occurred on westbound Ocean Gateway close to the Maryland State Police barracks in Easton. According to the information gathered by investigators, a 24-year-old man named Robert Stacey Jr. of Hurlock was operating a Kawasaki motorcycle manufactured in 2012 while he was heading west on Route 50. The rider lost control of his bike after going around the turn just to the south of the police barracks, and he ended up falling over onto his side.

The deceased and the motorcycle went for some distance before colliding into the back of a 2021 Lincoln Navigator driven by Eric Higgenbottom, who is 41 years old and lives in Talbot County. According to the police, Stacey was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. There were no additional injuries that took place. As police officers continued their investigation into the collision, westbound Route 50 remained closed until 7 o’clock in the evening. The Easton Volunteer Fire Department, the Talbot County Emergency Medical Services, the Maryland State Police, the Maryland Natural Resources Police, the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office, and the Maryland State Highway all provided assistance to the officers.  Source

The 10th of October 1933 to the 20th of July 2022, Suddenly, at the Waterside Retirement Residence in Carleton Place, Ontario in the province of Ontario. His parents, Jack Stacey (1970) and Elizabeth Stacey (1990), as well as his siblings Roy Stacey and Lillian MacPherson, passed away before him. Bob was devoted to the St. James Anglican Church in Carleton Place, which he held dear to his heart and attended often. Up until the time of his death, Bob was considered to be one of the most melodious choristers. Bob, an enthusiastic supporter of the performing arts and music, contributed his skills to the musical groups Mississippi Mudds and the Town Singers in Carleton Place. When he was performing a song or telling a story at any kind of social event, he was in his element. Before and after he retired from the Patent Office in Hull and Ottawa, Bob traveled quite a bit around England and Europe, both of which were some of his favorite places to visit throughout the years.
