1. Senator Robert “RC Bob” Dutton Death, born in Lincoln, Nebraska – Obituary
On July 23, 2022, Senator Robert D. “RC Bob” Dutton (Ret.), age 71, passed away at home surrounded by family. He was known as “RC Bob.” Bob’s year of birth is 1950 and he was born in Lincoln, Nebraska. He was the first of his parents, Ted Dutton and Dorothy Gould, four children to be born. His beloved wife of forty years, Andrea Guillen Dutton, and his doting daughter, Kara Ann Dutton, are the only members of his family to survive him.
In 1969, Bob made the journey out to California. He was happy to serve his country in the Army Reserve and the California Air National Guard before being released with honor in 1974. He served his country with pride. After completing two terms as president of the student body at Los Angeles Valley College, from which he graduated with an associate’s degree, he promptly applied for and was granted a license to practice real estate brokerage by the state of California. His survivors include two daughters, Denise (husband Steve) Hanzelka of Ashtabula and Michelle (husband Frank) Spano of North Kingsville; two sons, Todd Robert Dutton of Ashtabula and Bryan John (wife Melissa) Dutton, both of Ashtabula; six grandchildren, Zachary, Stevie, Brandon, Bryan, Jr., Anthony, and Frank, Jr.; two sisters, his twin, Bonnie Sinks of Wayne, Michigan and Darlene Sisson of Geneva; and his former wife, Karen Scott of Madison.
Robert James Dutton, who was 57 years old and lived on State Route 20, passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2002, at his home. He was the son of James Floyd Dutton and Jeanne (Walker) Dutton and had spent the majority of his life in Ashtabula County. He was born on December 31, 1944, in Painesville and had been a resident of Ashtabula County. In the years leading up to his retirement, he was the sole proprietor of his own electronics business, which he called Bob’s TV and Communications. Read more
