His parents, Vincent and Ruthene, as well as his brother, Donald, passed away before he did. He was the last surviving member of his family. Robert was an exceptionally nice and generous person who had a great heart. His favorite pastime was camping in the Maritimes, and he was famous for his catchphrase, “There goes some Happy Campers!” In addition, he enjoyed spending time at his cabin in Newton Pond, going four-wheeling on the nearby mountain, and watching Nascar for a considerable amount of time.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Katharine (Cameron); daughter Karen, Yellowknife, NT; son, Matthew (Amanda), Bass River; granddaughter Raine, Yellowknife, NT; in laws, Ernie and Joyce Cameron, Bass River; brothers, Kenneth (Sandra), Hart Lake, Chesley (Nora), Bass River, Arthur, Truro, Roddy (Margaret), Bass River; sister, Marlene Harvey Colchester Community Funeral Home, located at 512 Willow Street in Truro, has been entrusted with the responsibility of making the necessary arrangements. On July 31, 2022, Bob passed away without any trouble. His sister Margaret, his wife Nancy, his daughters Fiona and David, Christine, Daniel, and Jordan, Alison and Aaron, Bobby, Ruth and Craig, Freya, and all of his other children and grandchildren loved and respected him deeply.
