Reports of active shooter in Las Vegas ‘unfounded’ Las Vegas police say

LAS VEGAS (KTNV)  — Following a social media frenzy of an active shooter on the Las Vegas Strip, police say that those reports are “unfounded”.

Las Vegas police say that the origin of the frenzy was a glass door shattering, causing a loud noise.

The original tweet by LVMPD can be seen below:

Brandon Clarkson of the LVMPD says that one person is in custody after throwing a rock through a window at the MGM Grand after being upset. Police also say that person has since been taken into custody and charged with gross destruction of property.

Las Vegas police report one person sustained a minor injury as a result of the ensuing panic.
