Report: Car accident ends life of former New York Mets minor leaguer – Car Accident

Former New York Mets minor-league player Darwyn Encarnacion has died in a car accident in La Vega, Dominican Republic, according to a report.

He was just 21.

According to Total Pro Sports, “the SUV that Encarnacion was driving in fell into a void on Duarte Highway. He was rescued by medical professionals and taken to the Luis Manuel Morillo King Hospital, where he died.”
