He started his business career cultivating potatoes on fifteen acres of land in Curraha, County Meath, and eventually became the owner of the Tayto brand after founding Largo Foods.
Before the epidemic, Tayto Park was a major employer and tourist destination, with 750, 000 visitors per year. At the peak of the season, it employs 248 full-time workers and up to 600 part-time workers.
