1. Randy Meredith Obituary, Facebook tribute  – Death

“There are no words great or wacky enough to describe all that he was. Our community lost one of its pillars yesterday and I lost someone who was an elder, parent, friend and anything else I could ever need. Randy was and will always be the unconventional necessity we all needed. He lived his truth so loudly, it made it safe for anyone and everyone else to do the same. His heart was almost as enormous as his wardrobe. I was lucky enough to learn this community under his wing and side by side. I wouldn’t know any of you the way that I do without him. Every love I’ve found in this tiny town, and they are plentiful, was because of him. He lives in each and every one of our connections. I aspire to carry on his legacy, love and hope that we can come together to keep his spirit alive, to continue his dreams and to honour the impact that he has had on all of us. He has passed but he will forever live on in every brave thing I do. There is no possible way to replace someone so magical and unique, but we can do our part as a community to keep his courage and enthusiasm present for all who may need it. If there was ever a time to be loud about your truth, love and self, this is it. He wanted the best for all of us and we owe him that celebration of complete and unabashed confidence to live life to its fullest. I hope we can all be a bit more silly, fun and free, having known him and let that be his place in all of our lives, forever. How lucky are we to have loved someone so wonderful…” Source
