Phillip Laster Jr. Death and Obituary: On Monday, a football player who attended Brandon High School passed away. Dr. Scott Rimes, the superintendent of Rankin County, reported that Phillip Laster Jr. had passed away. The age of the athlete in question was 17 years old. The reason for their passing has not been made public.

Rimes has issued a statement in which she says, “The unexpected passing of Brandon High School student and athlete Phillip Laster has left us in a state of deep sorrow and heartbreak. During this time of struggle, we want his family to know that we are thinking about and praying for them.

In the coming days, RCSD will provide support to Phillip’s family, as well as team members, coaches, classmates, teachers, and administrators from Brandon High School, as we all grieve over Phillip’s passing.”
