On the afternoon of June 6, 2021, Philip Price, 66 years old, of Knoxville, Tennessee, lost his battle with cancer after fighting it for five years. Philip was born on September 16, 1954, in the town of Walthamstow, which is located close to the east of London in England. Phil was given the extraordinary opportunity to live a life that was both extremely gratifying and exciting. After working as a sound engineer in England during his early adulthood, he was eventually lured to the United States by the band that would become known as Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. Phil’s charisma and aptitude for engineering electrifying concert music catapulted his career and allowed him to work with some of the most famous rock bands of the 1970s and 1980s.
As fate would have it, Phil’s luck was in. Although the list is extremely lengthy, Phil has worked for some of the most well-known bands in the world, including Bob Marley and the Wailers, AC/DC, Aerosmith, Van Morrison, and Cheap Trick. After living a life that was practically made for the silver screen while on tour, Phil and his wife Clare Heinritz eventually settled down to a more conventional life in the United States. As a facilities manager for StandardAero, an aerospace business that focused mostly on providing services to the aviation industry, he devoted the majority of his working hours to his job.
