Patrick T. Bowes, 62 years old, passed away on Friday, April 22, 2016, at the West Chester Hospital in West Chester, Ohio. He was from Mason, Ohio. He was the son of the late George P. and Mary F. (Locke) Bowes and was born on July 1, 1953, in the city of Lancaster in the state of Ohio. Son, Brother, Uncle, and Friend in addition to being a Teacher. Our sibling, who is also the keeper of our secrets, the witness to our lives, and our closest friend. An extraordinary teacher who is also imaginative and difficult to understand. Defeated cancer for a protracted amount of time and fought valiantly till the end. A member of the graduating class of 1971 at Bishop Fenwick.
Pat felt a desire to affect young lives after spending a number of years in the business sector, and as a result, she decided to work in the field of education. Pat holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies from Xavier University, where he also earned his undergraduate degree. After that, he pursued further education and ultimately earned a Master of Education degree from Xavier University. He was awarded the Summa Cum Laude degree. By bringing the Vietnam Traveling Wall to Sharonville, Pat raised the level of knowledge about the Vietnam War among his students as well as among the community at large. Patrick is survived by his two sisters, Mary T. Beuchert and Margaret Bowes and his brother, Johnny Bowes. He is also survived by his nieces, Elizabeth Beuchert Marshall (Rob) and Maureen Beuchert O’Brien (Kevin Matan), and nephew John Beuchert (fiancé Melanie Brewer). Along with great-nieces Lilli and Lydia and great-nephew Alexander. Patrick is further survived by his extended family of devoted staff of the Meridian Dr. group home. Their compassion and love will never be forgotten. He was registered as an organ donor, and the kindness he has shown toward other people has already been a blessing to them.

He was born on February 1, 1953 in Erie. Patrick lived in a world with fewer possibilities than we do. He suffered from intellectual disability brought on by fragile x syndrome.
