On September 16, 2022, Patricia Lou Hallstrom, who was 91 years old and lived in Scottsdale, Arizona, passed away without suffering. Patti Reed was born in Quinter, Kansas on January 4, 1931. Her parents were Howard Charles Reed and Irene Bower. She was the eldest of three kids in the family. At the University of Nebraska in 1950, she started dating David Hallstrom, who would later become her husband. Together, they had a happy marriage that lasted for 56 years until his passing in 2006.
She felt the same excitement and affection that David did for the city of Scottsdale. In 1958, Patti and David moved their family to Scottsdale. Patti began volunteering in a variety of capacities at Ascension Lutheran Church and Scottsdale Bible Church, including as a Teaching Leader for Bible Study Fellowship–Phoenix, a Welcome Wagon Hostess, and in a number of other groups. She was also extremely proud of the United States of America, The Declaration of Independence, The Constitution, and our Founding Fathers. Read more
2. Donald Garth Hallstrom Death– Obituary
On September 10, 2010, a son of Riondel was taken from us unexpectedly. He will be remembered with affection by Dianne, the woman he has been married to for the past 23 years; their daughters Crystal and Patricia; their grandchildren Danielle, Dylan, and Braden; and their brothers Ronald and Gordon (Eleanor).In addition, he will be remembered fondly by his many relatives as well as his many friends. Don was preceded in death by his sister Joan, his mother Eyrtle, and his father Eric, who both passed away in 1989 and 2008.
Don moved back to his childhood home in the Kootenays eight years ago so that he could retire there and indulge his passions for fishing, hunting, gardening, and contributing to the community. At some point in the future, Don will be laid to rest in Greenwood, British Columbia, among his mother and father. At eleven in the morning on September 25, 2010, there will be a memorial ceremony held at the Riondel Community Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Riondel Community Church or to the Alzheimer’s Association. Source
