1. Myles Poydras Death, a native of New Orleanian – Obituary
Myles Christopher Poydras, a real and native New Orleanian, made his shift to his new home above on Thursday, September 15, 2022. The 10th of April, 1997 was the day he was born into this world. Myles had just turned 25 years old when he passed away, and he was a candidate for a Master of Fine Arts degree in 2023 at George Mason University, where he was majoring in Creative Writing with a concentration in Non-Fiction journalism.
There, he was awarded the Robert Raymond Scholarship, which is a scholarship presented annually to only one student across the whole program. He received it there. In addition to his duties as a graduate student who attended classes full-time, Myles also held the positions of Graduate Research Assistant and English Professor. A graduate of St. Augustine High School with the class of 2015 and the University of Missouri – School of Journalism with the class of 2019 with a degree in Magazine Journalism, he is currently working as a journalist. 2. Dr. John T. Myles Death, of Gloucester, Virginia – Obituary
Dr. John T. Myles, who was a resident of Gloucester, Virginia, passed away on May 20, 2022 in the comfort of his own home. He was the third child of the late Thomas Aquilla Myles and Rouena Eberly Myles, and he was born on June 28, 1931 in Fayetteville, West Virginia. His mother predeceased him. 1948 was the year he graduated from high school, and he went on to receive a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Science degree from West Virginia University before enrolling in and completing his studies at The Medical College of Virginia in 1955.
Prior to completing his residency in diagnostic radiology at Duke University Medical Center, Dr. Myles had a brief stint working as a general practitioner in Gauley Bridge, West Virginia, and also held the rank of Captain in the United States Army Medical Corps. In 1961, he opened a radiology practice at Riverside Hospital in Newport News, Virginia. After that, he practiced radiology on a part-time basis at the Hampton Veterans Administration Regional Medical Center, where he had been a consultant in the past.
