1. Muriel Emerson Obituary – Death
Late on Wednesday night, police in Rockledge reported that a 16-year-old male stabbed and killed his grandmother. Muriel Emerson, 57 years old, was found dead on the floor of her kitchen with several stab wounds, according to the report filed by the Rockledge police. The property was located on South Carolina Avenue. “A horrible crime was committed in the city late last night, according to Police Chief Joseph LaSata. “It was calculated. It was vicious. And it was unusual,” he said.
They believe that her 16-year-old grandson was the one who murdered her. “”When I stated this is a planned action and a horrible crime, she sustained several stab wounds on her body, and we uncovered evidence in the house indicating this was planned,” LaSata said. “We discovered proof that this was planned.” According to the police, they are aware of the reason why the kid committed the act because the teen told them. “He did, and I can’t disclose his comments, and he absolutely did tell why,” LaSata stated in response to the question. “He did say why.” Read More
2. Muriel Chamberlain obituary born in Leicester – Death
Muriel Chamberlain, a friend and colleague of mine who passed away recently at the age of 89, made history at the University of Swansea by being the institution’s first female dean. She went on to become a professor of history and the head of the department. She was the only child of her parents, Arthur Chamberlain, who worked as an official at a railway station, and Gladys Chamberlain (née Shortland), who was a teacher and an artist.
She was born in Leicester. Her education took her to Bristol, Preston, and finally to Leeds, where her father finished his career as a stationmaster. She attended schools in all three of these locations. After enrolling at St. Hilda’s College, Oxford, in 1951, Muriel earned a first-class degree in history. She then went on to earn a doctorate in the subject of European diplomatic history in the 19th century. She had previously worked as a professor at Royal Holloway College before relocating to Swansea in 1959. Read More
