Automobile Stopped in Ditch Just after Sunday Early morning Accident – Car Accident
EARL PA – No a person was hurt, but a 53-12 months-old Boyertown woman was cited for driving at an unsafe speed, next a one-motor vehicle accident Sunday (July 17, 2022) at 5:40 a.m. in the 300 block of Longview Street in Earl Township, Berks County. Pennsylvania Condition Law enforcement from the Troop L Barracks in Reading issued a report on the incident, which they said transpired “just south of Woodchoppertown Road.”
In advance of the crash, troopers reported, a 2005-model Acura RL becoming pushed by the Boyertown lady was traveling northbound on Longview Highway. The highway in that spot “has no shoulder,” and “there is a big ditch on the eastern edge of the roadway with a steep embankment,” they included. “The ditch and embankment consist of several massive rocks of many measurements,” troopers mentioned.
The driver “was negotiating a still left curve in the roadway,” but she “failed to sustain (the) lane of journey,” their report said. The Acura “left the jap aspect of the roadway” and “went down into the ditch, triggering its front close to strike the steep embankment wall,” it extra.
The car “traveled parallel to Longview Street in the ditch” for about 100 ft, and “came to a final rest at the close of the ditch” in front of a residence at 311 Longview Road. The motor vehicle, which was disabled at the scene, was removed by Berks-Mont Towing, it pointed out.
The girl, which troopers indicated was the vehicle’s sole occupant, was putting on lap and must safety belts at the time, the report stated.
