We were saddened to hear the news that one of our customers, Mike Stockard, recently passed away. In his honor, his family has offered to sponsor a special edition Kids Woodworking class. This class will be FREE for the first five students who register, limit of one per household. Here’s a note from the family: “Mike was a very talented woodworker. He started woodworking after he retired. Some of the things he enjoyed building were clocks, jewelry boxes, furniture just to name a few. He also enjoyed building birdhouses. We couldn’t think of a better way to honor his memory than

to share his love for woodworking with children that one day may enjoy it as much as he did.” Class: Build a Birdhouse Description: Kids that are 8+ will build their own bird houses from kits. Kids will learn the fundamentals of safety while using simple building tools to complete their birdhouses. The instructor will give instructions about how to paint or decorate their houses. 2. Michael Franklin Leverton Obituary, of Denton – Death

Michael Franklin Leverton On Friday, March 27, 2020, in the city of Denton, Texas, Michael Franklin Leverton passed away. On June 3, 1947, he was welcomed into the world by Horace and Margaret Leverton in Denton. Mike received his degree from Cooke County College and then worked for the city of Denton as a police officer for a total of 43 years. In addition, Mike served in the United States Army, including a deployment to Vietnam, and was an active member of the Masonic lodge. On June 11, 2009, he tied the knot with Sandy Neal in the city of Denton, Texas. Mike enjoyed activities such as hunting, sailing, and fishing. He had a lot of fun going to see his pals and they laughed a lot together.

Above all else, Mike treasured the time he could spend with his family, particularly with his grandchildren. His parents and Wilma Leverton, the woman he was married to in his first marriage, both away before him. On Tuesday, March 31, 2020, the public is invited to attend an open visitation that will take place from 9 am to 5 pm at the DeBerry funeral home. At Roselawn Memorial Park, a service at the graveside is scheduled to take place at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 1, 2020.
