2. Mark J. Sokowaski Death, of Charlton – Obituary

Mark J. Sokowaski, who was 54 years old and from Charlton, Massachusetts, went away suddenly on April 27. Mark is survived by his wife of 21 years, Linda Stevens-Sokowaski, as well as his three cherished children, Lucas, Olivia, and Christian. Mark was also survived by his partner of 21 years. His mother, Cheryl (LaFontaine) Sokowaski, who lives in Worcester; his sister, Michelle A. Temple, who lives in Sutton with her husband, Russ; two nephews named Ryan and Nicholas; and one niece named Emma; in addition to a large number of pals, including his “furr” pet friend Daisy. He was the son of John and Cheryl Sokowaski and was the product of Worcester birth.

In 1985, he received his diploma from Worcester Vocational Technical High School; thereafter, he furthered his schooling to earn his Master Plumber certification. When he first started out in the industry, he was employed by R & R Plumbing as well as Grasseschi Plumbing and Heating. Mark has been employed by the City of Worcester in the capacity of Plumbing Inspector for the past 15 years. During the time that he was employed by the city, he also served as an instructor for plumbing at the Central Mass Technical School of Plumbing. The relationships that Mark has formed over the years with city officials, contractors, and builders are a testament to the fact that he was a nice and courteous man.  Read more
