The Integrated Murder Investigation Staff (IHIT) has identified the female who died in a double shooting inside of a home in Maple Ridge.

IHIT explained it is determining the deceased woman as 35-12 months-previous Cashmere Ali, in hopes of advancing the investigation.

“We are doing the job to establish witnesses that can lose some mild on what led to this tragedy,” claims Sergeant Timothy Pierotti of IHIT. “We are urging all associates of Ms. Ali to arrive forward and converse with law enforcement, as we get the job done to develop a timeline of events.”

At this time, IHIT is not releasing the name of the male survivor, out of respect for his privacy.

On Friday, July 15 at 8:40 a.m., Ridge Meadows RCMP responded to a report of a woman and person suffering from gunshot wounds at a residence in the 22600 block of 119 Avenue.

Officers on scene furnished crisis first help to the girl, who later succumbed to her accidents in healthcare facility.

The male endured non-lifestyle threatening accidents.

IHIT has taken perform of the investigation and is operating in partnership with the Ridge Meadows RCMP, the BC Coroners Provider and the RCMP Integrated Forensic Identification Portion (IFIS).

The shooting does not look to be random and there is no recognized hazard to the general public at this time, IHIT said.

IHIT is inquiring that any witnesses or any individual touring in the 22600 block of 119 Avenue, Maple Ridge, among 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. with sprint cameras or who have any data regarding the murder is asked to make contact with the IHIT Details Line at 1-877-551-IHIT (4448) or by electronic mail at ihitinfo@rcmp-grc.gc.ca.
