Bourgeois Riverview, Florida (FL): Louis “Louie” Joseph Bourgeois Jr., a native of Thibodaux, Louisiana, and a resident of Riverview, Florida, lost his fight with cancer and passed away on October 9, 2021 at the age of 72. He was a Quartermaster Chief Petty Officer (Ret.) Louis “Louie” Joseph Bourgeois Jr. Chief Louis Bourgeois served in the United States Navy for 22 years, during which time he was honored with the Navy Achievement Medal, the Vietnam Unit Commendation with Gallantry Cross, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal, and a variety of other medals and awards. He graduated from Thibodaux High School and Columbia College in Columbia, Missouri. He served for a total of 22 years, during which time he was stationed in Seattle,

Washington; multiple naval sites in the state of California; Hong Kong; Vietnam; the Philippines; Guam; and Florida. After his career in the navy came to an end, Louis accepted a position with the Department of Defense as a federal law enforcement officer in Orlando, Florida, where he eventually rose to the rank of Lieutenant. His wife Lili Gao Bourgeois, his two sons Sean Paul and Chad Michael, both of whom are married to other women, his step-son Jun Jiang Tong and his wife Fang Iv, his three grandchildren Victoria, Gavin, and Jayden Bourgeois, and his step-granddaughter Hua Tong are the only members of Louis’s family who have survived his passing.
