Late last night in Fayetteville, a car struck and killed a man who was walking in the street. The intersection of Raeford Road and Cliffdale Road, according to the police, is where Lorne Greene was injured. Greene, age 69, of New Bedford, Massachusetts, passed away in a calm manner on Thursday, April 1, 2021 in St. Luke’s Hospital. Pamela (Leonard) Greene was his wife for the entirety of their 41-year marriage. David A. Greene was the oldest son and eldest child of the late Arthur A., Jr. and Bernice F. (Fuller) Greene. David was born and raised in New Bedford. He attended New Bedford High School and Bridgewater State College before earning his diploma. David’s children, all of whom reside in New Bedford, include his daughter Jaime, son Timothy and his wife Rebecca, and their sons Dillon, Lucas, and Jacob; daughter Julia; and son Jeffrey.
