1.Leroy Larsen Obituary of Burlington, Iowa – Death

In 1945, the family uprooted their lives and moved to Glendale, California. In 1956, Leroy tied the knot with Myrna Farrell, and the couple went on to have three kids together. Together with his boys, he was an active Little League coach, and the teams he coached were successful, winning multiple championships. Leroy had a successful and lengthy career as a driver for United Parcel Service in the central business district of Los Angeles for a total of 35 years. He and his wife Myrna retired to Lake Havasu in 1999, and they haven’t looked back since. They moved to Lake Havasu 22 years ago and throughout that time they developed a large number of close friendships.

Myrna and Leroy took numerous journeys to South America, the Middle East, and Europe over the course of their marriage in order to broaden their understanding of global traditions. Leroy was an active member of the Havasu 4 Wheelers for a good number of years after serving as president of the organization. In addition to that, he was an active member of the Havasu Elks Club. Over the course of more than 20 years, Leroy and Myrna developed a philanthropic Christian ministry in Mexico known as “The Lord’s Bus.” Through this ministry, they supplied various orphanages in Mexico with essentials such as food, shelter, and clothing. 2. Leroy Larsen Obituary, of Trevor, WI – Death

On Thursday, July 24, 2008, LeRoy R. Larsen, age 89, of Trevor, Wisconsin, previously of Shawano, Wisconsin, went to be with his heavenly father. He passed away in Trevor. He was the son of Samuel and Bertha (Edmonds) Larsen, who both predeceased him, and was born on June 28, 1919 in Millburn, Illinois. During World War II, he did his tour of service in the United States Army’s Seventieth Engineering Corp. overseas in Europe. LeRoy was an active member of the Teamsters Union while he was employed as a truck driver at Motor Transport in Kenosha, Wisconsin. On July 15, 1941, he wed Virginia Bright, and 56 years later, on November 17, 1997, she passed away before him. After their marriage, they had two children.

In 1975, he took early retirement, and in 1976, the couple settled in Shawano in order to fulfill a lifelong ambition of fishing and hunting together. His children David (Judy) Larsen of Beach Park, IL, Allen (Colleen) Larsen of Wautoma, WI, and Larry (Debbie) Larsen of Trevor are among his survivors. He also leaves behind two step-daughters, Eleanor Epker of Winthrop Harbor, IL, and Jeannie Pedersen of Kenosha, WI; his seven grandchildren; his ten great-grandchildren; his brother Joseph Larsen of Kenosha. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Raymond; three sisters, Bertha, Rose Mary, and Eva; and two brothers, Leonard, and Clifford. Full Obituary
