1. Legrand Yarborough Death, Of Effingham – Obituary
It has been determined that the Effingham woman who was killed in the two-vehicle collision that occurred on Tuesday on State Highway 52 and West Lee Flowers Road, which is located north of Scranton, was 78 years old. The victim has been identified as Legrand Yarborough, according to Florence County Coroner Keith von Lutcken. According to Lieutenant Sonny Collins of the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the collision took place at noon on Tuesday when a 1988 GMC truck traveling north on U.S. 52 collided with a 1991 Toyota traveling west on West Lee Flowers Road. The Toyota was headed west on West Lee Flowers Road. According to Collins, Yarborough was operating the Toyota at the time. The man who was driving the GMC was transported to the hospital after the accident. According to Collins, the inquiry into the collision that has been opened by the patrol and its multi-disciplinary accident investigation team is still ongoing. Full obituary
2. Debbie M. Yarborough Death, of West Columbia, LA – Obituary
The passing of Debbie Yarborough occurred on April 27, 2020. She was the daughter of Hartman Harvey Yarborough and Joyce McLendon Yarborough, both of whom passed away before she was born in Columbia. Debbie worked as a Court Deputy for the United States Bankruptcy Court for many years before taking her retirement. She had an enthusiastic personality, and a kind attitude, and was a lot of fun to be around.
Her interests included gardening, going shopping, and cheering for the Gamecocks. Everyone who knew Debbie will miss her terribly, and the world will be a sadder place because she is no longer in it. Debbie’s brothers, Hartman H. Yarborough (Dale) of Lexington and David Yarborough of West Columbia, as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews, survive her. Debbie was preceded in death not only by her parents, but also by her sister Brenda Y. Berry, as well as by a large number of aunts, uncles, and grandparents. Full obituary
