Lawrence “Larry” O’Toole, who was 82 years old and resided in Dubuque’s Oak Park Place, passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2015. On Saturday, June 13, 2015, a funeral Mass will be held at the Church of the Resurrection. The service will begin at 10:30 a.m. At nine in the morning, the family will welcome their friends. till the beginning of Saturday’s Mass at the church. Arrangements are entrusted to Hoffmann Schneider and Kitchen Funeral Home, 3860 Asbury Rd. Larry O’Toole was born on June 19, 1932, in the town of LeMars, Iowa. His parents, Dr. Lawrence and Magdalene (Hoffman) O’Toole, were his parents.
After completing his high school education at LeMars, he went on to study at Loras College and ultimately earned a degree in communications from the University of South Dakota in 1955. After graduating with this degree, he went on to work for a number of radio stations in the states of Iowa and Nebraska. The wedding took place at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Dubuque on July 21, 1962, between Larry and Ruth Jaeger. Between the years 1972 and 1994, he was employed with Business Enterprise Systems of Minnesota for the Blind. He eventually retired in 1994.
