Kwem Manuel-Gottfriedson Death: MissinG Coquitlam woman Kwem Manuel-Gottfriedson was discovered to have passed away a little over a week after they were last seen alive. On Tuesday, Manuel-Gottfriedson, who used the handle Kwem Anne Manuel throughout her several social media accounts, would have turned 25 years old. It seems from her internet accounts that they called Vancouver home.
In the days leading up to her body being discovered on July 30, Manuel-Gottfriedson was last seen in Coquitlam; however, the location where her phone was last tracked was the Astoria in Vancouver.
According to the Vancouver Police Department, Manuel-Gottfriedson was located inside a building at East Hastings Street and Hawks Avenue. The Daily Hive was given this information. That is only one block away from the location where two persons were discovered dead in May, one of which was Noelle O’Soup, who was 14 years old. In the same vein as Manuel-Gottfriedson, she was an Indigenous person who hailed from the Tri-Cities area.
Missing Coquitlam Woman Found Dead
The Vancouver Police Department’s Major Crime Section is looking into the circumstances surrounding the death and disappearance, while the British Columbia Coroner Service is looking into the cause of death. We have been in communication with Kwem’s family and informing them of the latest developments in the investigation.
The sad news of her departure is being spread around friends and family members, who are also expressing their condolences. “Thank you to everyone who aided in the search for her, shared the posters, and made sure Kwem’s family was okay up until this point. They asked for seclusion so that they may begin the work of her ceremony as the sun began to rise this morning.
