“It’s with a heavy heart that we inform everyone of the passing of Retired Undersheriff Kevin Evans. Undersheriff Evans passed away at his Clinton home on 9/6/2022 shortly after noon due to illness. Kevin served the people of Custer County from 1989 until 2022 when he retired. Kevin served as a Patrol Deputy, Sergeant, Investigator, and Undersheriff during his over 32 years with the Custer County Sheriff’s Office. It was rare to find someone to who Kevin didn’t know who they were and to who they were related. Kevin was a great friend and role model and will be missed by all who knew him.
