The relatives of the lady who was killed in the Bay Area and is suspected to have been beheaded in a domestic violence homicide described her as a 27-year-old DoorDash driver who leaves behind two young girls. On Thursday, Karina Castro was murdered in the front yard of her home in San Carlos. After witnesses reported an attack at the property on Thursday around 11:50 a.m., deputies from the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office arrived at the location, which is just a few streets away from a Caltrain station. The location is at the intersection of Laurel Street and Magnolia Avenue.
The body of the woman was discovered by deputies at the location, but the sheriff’s office did not describe how she died; nonetheless, law enforcement officials who wished to remain unnamed told KGO that the woman had been beheaded. Jose Rafael Solano Landaeta, 33 years old, was detained on suspicion of having committed murder. He is scheduled to appear in court later this week. Castro’s family claims that Landaeta is the father of Castro’s daughter, who is 1 year old, and they accuse him of abusing Castro. Castro’s daughter is 1 year old.
