On Wednesday at four o’clock in the afternoon, a caller reported that a power pole on 3rd Road between Highway 64 and County P was on fire and that an injured guy was near the blazing pole. According to the deputies, a vehicle was traveling in a southern direction when it drove off the road. After striking the ditch on the east side of Third Road, it went on to hit the power pole before coming to a stop in the cornfield. Sanchez was presumably ejected during the collision, and his body was found to be dead after it. Two passengers, a 28-year-old and a 36-year-old, were able to walk to a farm that was close. They received medical care in the hospital, and then they were discharged. The four men all worked at a farm in the surrounding region and resided on 3rd Road. Source
