1. John Daniel Peade obituary, of Blackstone – Death
John Daniel Peade (also known as “Danny”), 57 years old, passed away on August 27, 2022 in Blackstone, Virginia. His parents, John and Betty Peade, who lived in Blackstone, Virginia, as well as his brother, James Billingsley, who lived in Ringgold, Georgia, passed away before he was born. Lisa, his daughter, lives in Norfolk, Virginia. He is also survived by his sisters Judy Fowlkes (Ronnie Harper) of Blackstone, Virginia, Mary Rogers (Timmy) of Waxhaw, North Carolina, Pam Zimmerman (Mark) of Roxboro, North Carolina, and Ann Billingsley (Jim) of Tullahoma, Tennessee; as well as a large number of nieces and nephews.
As a young teenager, Danny went to work for his father at Blackstone Glass & Mirror in Blackstone, Virginia. Years later, Danny bought the business and became its owner and operator. He took over the business in 1994 and ran it successfully for a number of years, all the while taking pleasure in assisting the population of his tiny town. Attending NASCAR races, going camping, preparing meals, and spending time with his family were some of his favorite activities. He would go out of his way to assist anyone who came to him for assistance and had a good heart. Those who knew and loved him will be devastated by his passing. Source
2. John Pead Obituary, of Mount Pleasant – Death
John “Eddie” Pead, 48, a resident of Hopewell, West Virginia, passed suddenly at his home on Thursday, August 2, 2007. His parents, Glenwood Overton and Margaret Mitchell Pead, passed away before he did. He is the only survivor of his family. Eddie was a member of Christ and Grace Episcopal Church and Unity Baptist Church. He worked for DuPont for 19 years and was an ardent hunter, fisherman, and tennis player. Eddie was also a member of the C.C.C. Hunt Club and participated in the Relay for Life event every year for the previous five years.

Pe The family will be hosting a get-together for friends tonight from 6 to 8 o’clock.
