Such sad news. #JocelynTerellAllen, Inanna author and dear friend of our press and organization for many years, passed away on September 11, 2022. In 2020, Jocelyn edited the wonderful book “Early Days, Early Dancers: Early Years of the National Ballet of Canada”, documenting the Ballet’s rich history, with a focus on the dancers (of whom, she was one). William Terrell Allen was born on April 13, 1980 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi to parents Desera Allen and William Robinson. His mother’s maiden name was Allen, and his father’s maiden name was Robinson. This union resulted in the birth of three children: two sisters and a brother. William was brought up by his cherished grandmother, who passed away before he was an adult. In addition, he is the parent of a daughter who goes by the name Dachina Felts-Allen and is fourteen years old. Jeanette Allen, his loving wife of Tulsa, who will lament his departure; his mother, Desera Allen; his father, William Robinson; two sisters, Alexandrian Denise Allen and Penelope Nicole Allen; and one brother, Jerrigan Ferrell Allen.
All of these people will be left to mourn his passing. William was blessed with a large number of loving relatives, including aunts, uncles, cousins, and acquaintances.
