Barnes, Robert Austin II 15 September 2022 On September 15, 2022, Robert Austin Barnes II passed away quietly in his home. Age-wise, he was 73. Bob Barnes was a longtime resident of Syracuse, New York, and the son of Willard and Alice Barnes. From 1973 until his retirement in 1994, he presided as the president and COO of Eastern Ambulance Service. He was one of Northeastern Rescue Vehicles’ co-founders. As an EMT and paramedic, Bob was passionate about helping people in need and enjoyed working in the field and on the rigs.

For more than 25 years, Bob served the community by volunteering as a firefighter for the DeWitt Fire Department. He was also crucial in establishing TIERS (Thousand Island Emergency Rescue Services). On the St. Lawrence River, boating was his life’s work. He enjoyed playing golf, skiing, bowling, working in his shop, driving ambulances and fire vehicles, practical jokes, and pinball. He also enjoyed playing golf. His three children Heather L. Barnes (Jonathan Read), Leslie M. Hale (Matthew), and Robert A. Barnes III (Erica), as well as his three grandkids Hadley M. Hale. Source

 

2. Trooper Eli M. McCarson Death – Obituary

Washington Township, New Jersey, is the place of Eli McCarson’s birth. Eli attended Lambs Road Academy for his first year of high school and received his diploma from Mullica Hill, New Jersey’s Clearview High School. His undergraduate studies in criminal justice were completed at Rutgers University in Camden. Eli worked in a variety of positions before joining the Trooper. He held jobs as a stock guy, a lifeguard, a landscaper, a sales representative, a server, and a bartender. Additionally, he belonged to the Gloucester County 4-H Club.

On February 20, 2015, Trooper McCarson joined the New Jersey State Police as a part of the 155th New Jersey State Police Class. He worked at the Troop “A” Woodstown and Port Norris Stations. Loyalty, brave performance of duty, and dedicated and honorable adherence to the principles of the New Jersey State Police were characteristics of his tenure with the agency. On December 17, 2015, near Route 49 in Quinton Township, Salem County, Trooper McCarson responded to a domestic violence incident in a marked patrol cruiser. Read More
