He was the son of Basil and Merle (Connor) Crisp and was born on April 7th, 1944 in the city of California, Missouri. In Lake Ozark, where he attended School of the Osage High School, he earned his diploma. John worked in Patient Food Service at St. Mary’s Health Center until the year 2001, the year he retired, after which he had been the manager of the cafeteria at the Missouri State Capitol for a number of years. He was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and had a good time rooting for them while gambling
in Las Vegas and at the riverfront casinos in Missouri. Shaun Crisp of Largo, Florida, his only son, as well as his brothers Perry Roland Crisp of Jefferson City, Missouri, and Cal Wayne Crisp of Norfolk, Virginia, are among those who carry on his legacy.
