1.  Jeffrey Hendrickson Obituary, born  in Kenosha, Wisconsin – Death

On September 6, 2022, Jeffrey J. Hendrickson, age 55 and a resident of Union, passed away. He was the son of James Hendrickson, who passed away, and Dianne (Crook) Hendrickson, who was born on July 31, 1967, in Kenosha, Wisconsin. In 2020, he received his degree in business administration from Wright State University, and after graduation, he found work at Harrigan’s, Key Chrysler, and the VRA. Jeff volunteered his time at the Humane Society of Greater Dayton for a significant amount of time. He was skilled at golf, the guitar, shooting guns, and detailing vehicles in his spare time. He was a devoted supporter of the Cincinnati Reds and the Green Bay Packers. Taylor (Seth) Wright, Ryan Hendrickson, and Madison Hendrickson are the children that Jeff leaves behind.

He is also survived by his sister, Jennifer Phelps, and two grandkids, Jonah Northup. Tanner Wright; Heidi Hendrickson, the mother of his children; nephews Christopher (Emily) Phelps, Kyle (Emily), and Kody Phelps; great nephews Jordan and Kade Phelps; and other members of Tanner Wright’s family and extended family. On Wednesday, September 14, 2022, from six in the evening to eight in the evening, there will be a visitation. located at 422 E. Belton Street, the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home. On Thursday, September 15, 2022, at one o’clock in the afternoon, funeral services will be placed at Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd. in Fairborn, with Pastor Ben Webster serving as the officiant. 2. Steven Hendrickson Obituary,  born in Decorah, Iowa  Death

Steve was exposed to the trumpet at a young age and quickly developed a passion for the instrument, which led to his success as a trumpeter in the industry. In 1982, he became a member of the National Symphony Orchestra as the assistant principal trumpet, and in 1988, he was promoted to the position of the principal trumpet. He continued to play with the NSO up until the year 2021 when he officially retired. Steve has contributed to the NSO on a number of albums as the lead trumpet player.

He performed as the soloist in the Haydn Trumpet Concerto, the Arutunian Concerto, J.S. Bach’s Brandenberg Concerto No. 2, Persichetti’s The Hollow Men, and Copland’s Quiet City. In addition, he released a solo CD on MSR Classics, which has garnered him nothing but praise from critics. Steve was a trumpet instructor at the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore for 17 years, and he was a professor of trumpets at the University of Maryland for 15 years.
