A Norfolk County man was killed in a two-vehicle collision on Highway 403 on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Brant County OPP. According to a news statement from the police, just before 1 p.m., emergency personnel were summoned to a two-vehicle incident on the highway in Brant County, to the east of Muir Line. According to police, their investigation led them to the conclusion that a passenger car had hit the back of a commercial vehicle. On the spot, one person was declared deceased. Later, the victim was revealed to be 51-year-old Jason Cook from Norfolk County. During the almost five hours that emergency personnel and detectives were on the site, the freeway was closed. On October 7, 1990, he was born in Natrona Heights to his late parents, Alva Cook and Judy Gronski Cook. His parents have since passed away. He had a big heart, was a loving son, father, brother, uncle, and partner; he was an avid card player; he was dedicated to his family; he worked hard as a leader; he was knowledgeable about sports; he was full of life; all of these things describe him. He is survived by his wife, Linda Serrett Cook; father, Kenneth Lee Cook; 3 four legged children, Princess Teya, Niki “Nickelodeon”, and Thor; cousin, Samantha Dye; Nephews, Matthew Serrett and Allan Cress; nieces, Tara Richardson and Amanda Leigh Serrett; sister-in-law, June Serrett; sister and brother-in-law, Lola and Frankie Dietrich; brother-in-law, Lonnie Serrett; Sister-in-law, Stephanie Serrett; and lots of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Information technology was Jason’s field of study when he earned his degree from Emory and Henry in the year 1990. He enjoyed roleplaying games like Dungeons & Dragons and Pathfinder in his spare time. He was a supporter of the Chicago Cubs as well as all of the wrestling federations. Many people were familiar with him due to his loud sense of humour and his passion for running. Jason and his wife had a lot of fun travelling together, and Sedona, Arizona, quickly became one of their favourite cities that they visited during their adventures. Full Obituary
