Jay is survived by his mother, Terry Gordon, and father, Michael Church; daughter, Aubree Setzer; sisters, Krystal Lawson, and Misty Williamson; grandmother, Stella Louise Gordon; aunt, Sherry Coggin; girlfriend, Ginger Gerald; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Curtis Wayne Gordon; and several uncles. Jay had a passion for working with trees and the outdoors. He delighted in being of assistance to others in any way he could.

He was a good-natured individual who aspired to go through many aspects of life in the most ethical manner possible. He was a good friend to those who knew and loved him, and he was devoted to the well-being of his daughter. Jay was a devoted and caring son. A visitation for Jay will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2022, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the location of Sechrest-Davis Funerals & Cremations, which is located at 18 Randolph Street in Thomasville, North Carolina 27360. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on the afternoon of Sunday, August 7th, 2022, at 2:00 PM. Full Obituary
