On September 22nd, at the Regional Hospital in Portlaoise, it was discovered that James (Seamie) Shortall, who lived at Arlington Estate, Portarlington, had vanished. Shortall was a resident of Arlington Estate. James was predeceased by his loving wife, Dolores (Loney), as well as his parents, Tom and Kathleen, brother Desmond, and sisters Nancy, Bernadette, Christine, and Kathleen. James was also predeceased by his siblings.
His devoted sister Patricia, his kind brother-in-law Noel, his nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews, as well as his other relatives, neighbors, and friends, have all expressed their deepest condolences on his passing. SHORTALL ” James (Jim) Joseph Shortall, passed away on Friday, February 22, 2008 at the age of 68 years. Born Irish on eight sides, Jim enjoyed and regaled others with his good humor. His life was extended for twelve years, after a liver transplant, for which many thanks go to Dr. Mc Hattie. Jim is survived by his wife Jean, whose love he truly enjoyed; son Peter and wife Lara, grandsons, Jonah and Cole of New York.
Jim was a teacher, a businessman and in later years actively involved in the Balgonie Community. Jim wishes the very best to all he knew, loved and helped, and who in turn loved and helped him. Prayers will be held Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. in Speers Family Centre, 2333 Cornwall Street, Regina. Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, February 27 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Josephs R. C.
