Mr. James R. On March 7, 2014, “Bob” Parrish, who was 79 years old, passed away. Bob’s family and many of his friends are still located in Indiana, where he lived for a number of years before migrating to Florida. In Speedway, Indiana, he worked for GM until the day he retired. Bob took pleasure in activities such as hunting, fishing, traveling, attending family get-togethers, spending time with his children and grandchildren, as well as reading and watching westerns. Bob was a soldier in the United States. He served in the United States Marine Corps, 2nd Battalion, and 11th Marines as a Gunnery Sergeant for 22 years and received numerous decorations during that time.
In Korea, Okinawa, and Vietnam, he was recognized for his contributions to the field of communications and awarded awards for sharpshooting and marksmanship. He was a significant contributor to the establishment of the “Gifts for Tots” program and appeared in one of the earliest advertisements depicting Marines bringing toys to children in need. Surviving family members include four sons named William “Bill”, Lloyd, Ronald, and Steve Jackson; two daughters named Nancy June and Teresa Jackson; one brother named Rowland Parrish; two sisters named Patsy Parks and Becky Dabrowski; a total of 15 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; and one sister named Becky Dabrowski. 2. Paige Rogers Parrish Obituary, Born in San Marino, CA – Death
He will be remembered as a husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who gave his wide smile and love of life to everyone he came in contact with. He will also be remembered for his infectious enthusiasm for life. Paige was born in Long Beach, California on December 8, 1955. His parents, Carmen and Paul Parrish, later relocated their family to Burbank, California, where Paige spent his childhood years participating in water polo and spending summers with his grandparents in Lake Tahoe. Paige was the first child that Carmen and Paul Parrish had. Following his graduation from Burbank High School, he attended the University of Southern California, where he was initiated into the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He went on to acquire a degree in Psychology from that institution.
After that, he received his Juris Doctor degree from Santa Clara University School of Law. He was granted admission to the California Bar in 1981 and went on to establish a flourishing legal career in Pasadena, where many of his customers went on to become his close friends. Outside of the courtroom, Paige liked to spend time with his family and friends, go on yearly hunting trips, and try out the plethora of eateries that Southern California had to offer, with a particular fondness for Pie ‘N Burger. In addition to being an active member of the Pasadena Optimist Club and The Valley Club, he was also a long-time participant in the Pasadena Tournament of Roses, participating in the event for a total of 37 years.
