1. Jaime Lopez Obituary, of Pleasanton – Death

According to the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Office, Coroner’s the man who was died in a crash last weekend in San Jose’s Hellyer area and who was suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol has been named as Jaime Lopez Perez, who was 26 years old and from Pleasanton. According to the San Jose Police Department, Perez was operating a 2007 Toyota sedan in the direction of westbound traffic on Hellyer Avenue around 3:30 a.m. on September 3, when he caused an accident by colliding with three parked automobiles near Ridgebrook Way.

He exited the Toyota and was walking in the road when he was struck by a Dodge vehicle from the year 2000 that was moving in the westbound direction. According to the police report, Perez succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The driver of the Dodge, identified as Rolando Lopez, 23, remained at the site and “displayed symptoms of intoxication,” according to the police. Lopez was not injured in the collision. He was detained and put into the Santa Clara County Main Jail on charges of driving under the influence and vehicular manslaughter. Source

In the age of 87, Rumaldo Jaime of Bristol, Wisconsin passed away at the Aurora Medical Center in Kenosha on April 23, 2022. Jesus and Tomasa (Benavidez Capritti) Jaime were his parents, and he was born on November 28, 1934 in Brooks County, Texas, in the town of Falfurrias. He began his working life at a very young age, even serving as a ranch hand at the King Ranch when he was just 15 years old. After successfully manipulating his mother into signing his enrollment papers while he was only 16 years old, he immediately began serving his country. During both the Korean and Vietnam conflicts, the majority of his service in the Navy was spent working as a torpedo man.

The first four years of his naval career were spent aboard the destroyer Tingee DD539 in the Wonsan Harbor. After that, he worked on submarines for the remainder of his military career, which spanned more than 20 years. He served aboard the United States Navy ships USS Queenfish (SS-393), USS Muskallunge (SS-262), USS Tecumseh (SSBN-628), and USS Trepang (SSN-674). He wed Patricia Annette Weeks on September 11, 1956, and they remained married for 63 years till she passed away in 2020.
