Mr. Jack Bowman, who was 64 years old and from Burlington, passed away at the Danville Care Center at 6:55 a.m. on Friday, June 19, 2015. He was the son of Harold Joseph Bowman and Esther May (McGinity) Bowman and was born on May 13, 1951, in the city of Burlington. Mr. Bowman was a veteran who had served in the Army National Guard (Retired) during the Desert Storm conflict. In addition to that, he was a member of the Marine Reserves.

He is also survived by five brothers: Richard Bowman, David Bowman, and Harold Bowman Jr., all of Burlington; Robert Bowman of New London, and Jerry Bowman of Prairie Du Chien, Wisconsin; one sister, Margaret Krieger of Burlington; and a large number of nieces and nephews. He was a member of the Salvation Army, the D.A.V., and English River Outfitters, and he enjoyed fishing, camping, cooking, crafts, crafting blue jean quilts, traveling, and spending time with his family. In addition, he was a D.A.V. veteran. In addition to that, he had served in the Defense Armament Department for some time.
